The Little A’s love getting creative whether it be drawing pictures or colouring in books and colouring sheets.
They were therefore delighted when our next delivery arrived as our role as DKL Bloggers for 2017.
In the box they received some fab scented pencils and crayons from the Scentco Scented Stationery range. There were Spiderman pencils and crayons for Little Mr A and Disney Princess ones for Little Miss A. The perfect choice for both of them!
Little Mr A received three of the Scentco Spiderman products to have a play with.
First up were the scented ‘Smencils’. Little Mr A received a 5-pack which contained, as you would imagine, 5 Smencils which are made from 100% recycled newspapers. Each Smencil is a No.2 graphite pencil and each comes packaged in it’s own recyclable plastic freshness tubes. The Smencils come in 5 scents; Watermelon, Pineapple, Cookies & Cream, Blueberry and Black Cherry.
As well as the ordinary Smencils, Little Mr A also received the 5 pack of Coloured Smencils. As above, the coloured Smencils comes in it’s own tube to keep freshness and the scent for as long as possible. The scents for these were the same as the Smencils.
Little Mr A also received a pack of 5 Gel Crayons. The scents from these crayons are omitted from the gel crayon itself so you can really get a good sense of these when colouring.
Little Miss A received both the Smencils and Gel Crayons but in the Disney Princess branding. These were the same as the Spiderman pencils/crayons, however, have slightly different scents. In Little Miss A’s Princess packs the scents were Watermelon, Blueberry, Grape, Strawberry Cream and Lemonade.
The Little A’s were both delighted with their new pencils and crayons and have been having lots of fun getting each other to guess which scent they are using! The scents are quite strong on initial opening of the packets, however, I have found these have lessened to a nicer level after use. The scents are different and do smell like they should for the most part. The Cookies and Cream is really chocolatey and the fruity flavours have a nice smell to them.
Both the pencils and the coloured pencils are nice to hold and give a really good draw. They are a standard size so easy to sharpen. I like that they come in their individual tubes as it keeps the scent for longer, however, they are a little trickier to store as they don’t quite fit in Little Mr A’s usual pencil case.
The gel crayons are really lovely to colour with. Not only do they give off a nice scent when colouring, they are really bright and easy to use. Little Miss A in particular has loved using these to colour in her pictures.
Overall we are really pleased with the stationery items from Scentco and would recommend them as being that bit different to other stationery available.
